As a living mineral, copper leaves traces of everything that touches it, including air, which tarnishes the surface over time to a deep brown patina in varying degrees of tone and richness. Our blacksmith initiates the chemical process at the workshop with a measured degree of contact to ensure your potter vessel arrives with signs of oxidization already in development.
