This heart-shaped bowl is a tribute to Ashley’s lifetime love for hearts and the desire to give back to a foundation that is committed to helping fix tiny hearts and ensure children live happier, healthier lives. 30% of each heart bowl sold will go to the Labatt Family Heart Centre at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).

For a special project in support of the cardiology department at SickKids, abd invited artist Nancy Pearce to create a sweet vessel cast in bronze. To create its soft-edged profile, Nancy pinched the bowl out of clay and let it dry in her hand to preserve the traces of its making. The final form was cast at a small foundry outside Los Angeles and hand buffed until reaching a perfect reflective sheen.

Cast by hand with poured bronze, this object is meant as art and is not food safe.

Care: Use a soft cloth to clean or dust and Simichrome to achieve a high polish.
