For a special project in support for the cardiology department at SickKids, abd invited L.A. artist Nancy Pearce to create a sweet vessel cast in solid bronze. The heart-shaped bowl is a tribute to Ashley’s life-time love for hearts and the desire to give-back to a foundation that is committed to helping fix tiny hearts and ensure children live happier, healthier lives.

To create the bowl’s soft-edged profile, Nancy pinched the bowl out of clay and let it dry in her hand to preserve the traces of its making. The final form was cast at a small foundry outside Los Angeles and hand buffed until reaching a perfect reflective sheen.

30% of each heart bowl sold will go to the Labatt Family Heart Centre at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
